Tikal-Guatemala

Tikal is an ancient Mayan citadel located in the tropical jungle of northern Guatemala. Tikal, probably dating from the 1st century AD C., flourished between the years 200 and 850 d. C., before being abandoned. Its emblematic ruined temples and palaces include the gigantic and ceremonial pyramid of the Lost World and the temple of the Great Jaguar. At 70 meters, the IV temple is the highest pre-Columbian structure in America and offers wide views.
